Is there a way to numerically set the background size? Or does one just need to play with the borders to set the appropriate ratio?
I am not completely sure what you mean but you can set the image size (and thus your background size) via → collage → image size → custom size.

I got it worked out, Bram. I just needed to make my original image that I imported 5x7. Then it all fell into place. I’ve made some notes so next year I won’t be asking these questions again!
