No, we did not forget it… fonts embedded in SVG doesn’t work for warped text. We now convert all text to svg paths, which renders warped text correctly as well.
Can you tell me what you tweaked in the SVG you saved on wordclouds.com? What modifications/edits did you make that required fonts embedded in the SVG file?
We use a few personalized fonts that are not available in Wordclouds. And though we can make certain words bigger than others, we cannot decide on the exact size we want.
How we use wordclouds is we create and download a cloud that is the closest to what we need. Once in our files, when they are embedded, we can change a few words to another font and/or size.
Well… good news then. With version 4, you can use your own fonts: click the “Fonts” button and upload the fonts you want to use under “User fonts”.
I’m afraid the old functionality of SVG-embedded fonts will not return…
